To locate the drill a set distance from two edges, we designed a flip-stop that fits on the guide rods. Put one of the extension rods on the side and slide the stop into position. Flip it up out of the way when it’s not needed. With the fence on a side and the stop on the end, you have instantly repeatable pinpoint positioning of your holes. The Auto-Line base keeps a drill bit perfectly perpendicular to your work piece anywhere you put it. A high quality 1/2″ chuck rides on precision bearings. Just put your drill on the standard hex shank and drill away. There’s a stop to keep all your holes the same depth.

Woodpeckers added a versatile base and fence system that makes it simple to keep your hole locations right on target. When they released the Auto-Line Drill Guide in January of 2021, customers loved it, but they asked for the fence to have a wider range of adjustment and for a stop perpendicular to the fence. You asked, they answered. To position the fence further from the edge, Woodpeckers modified the fence guide rods to accept extensions. The extensions also accept extensions, so you can join them together as long as you want.
