Product Description
Materials: Natural woods, composites, hard plastics
Recommended RPM: 18,000-20,000 (max 24,000)
Ball Nose Spirals leave a rounded bottom during cutting while still providing a better shear cutting angle like their standard spiral counterparts. These are popular with small CNC’s but can be used in a router or router table. The up cut flute design pulls chips up and away from the work piece.
- TOOL SPECS: Solid carbide, up cut, ball nose spiral with 3/16″ cutting diameter, 1/4″ shank, 3/32″ radius, 3/4″ cutting length, and 2-1/2″ overall length for use in routers with a 1/4″ collet.
- BALL NOSE SPIRAL: Produces fully rounded bottom cuts with the tip of the bit, followed by straight edges with an up shear cutting angle to allow efficient chip ejection for optimal performance.
- SOLID CARBIDE: Crafted from solid carbide for exceptional strength and long-lasting durability, ensuring reliable performance even in rigorous cutting tasks.
- MATERIALS: Ideal for routing wood, composites, and hard plastics, offering versatility and precision for a variety of woodworking and crafting projects.
- MACHINES: Designed for hand-held routers, router tables, and CNC machines in a wide variety of applications. Popular for 3D carving on a CNC.
- SPECIAL APPLICATION: While very versatile and popular for 3D carving on a CNC machine, the ball nose design is a great option for routing juice grooves in cutting boards.
